Patty Vasi :: 2025 Hall Of Fame Inductee

Patty Vasi - Hall of Fame Inductee
Patty and Lou Vasi

Webster’s Dictionary defines a Hall of Famer as “a group of individuals in a particular category (such as a sport) who have been selected as particularly illustrious.” It goes on to define illustrious as “notably or brilliantly outstanding because of dignity or achievements or actions.”

These words and phrases perfectly describe our nominee for the Ohio Hot Stove Hall of Fame, Patty Vasi!

Currently, Patty serves as a Trustee on the Lorain County Hot Stove board as well as the Treasurer for Ohio Hot Stove. But these roles pale in comparison to those she has dutifully held over the last several years. She formerly was the Treasurer for Lorain County Hot Stove for many years and did a wonderful job keeping everything running. She was also the behind-the-scenes tournament guru, who kept all the tournament schedules straight and everything up to date. These were all official titles that she performed in an impeccable manner.

But Patty is more than official titles. Her number one title she held has been mom to Christine and Brooke, her daughters. Shining images of their mother, they embody the caring, warmth and smile of their mother. Then there is the other person in her life, her husband, Lou. He is the current President of Ohio Hot Stove and previously was the Vice President, as well as the Head Umpire (and many other roles) for Lorain County Hot Stove. Lou gets the deserved credit and respect for what he means to Hot Stove, but much of the credit should actually go to Patty!

Patty Vasi has done more behind the scenes for Hot Stove than many other Hall of Famers do in the open. She is the voice of reason, not afraid to challenge the status quo, and is the pinnacle of organization. Without her actions over the years, the farm minor players in Lorain County might not get those personalized trophies. Regional and state champions might not get their awards. Hot Stove may not have baseballs! All of these things, along with numerous other things she does has an immense positive impact on what Ohio Hot Stove Baseball is today. For that, we thank Patty Vasi for this, as well as all the other things we haven’t listed.

We thank Patty Vasi for her years of dedication to Hot Stove and proudly present her for nomination into the Ohio Hot Stove Hall of Fame!

Pat Anderson :: 2025 Hall Of Fame Inductee

Pat Anderson - Hall of Fame Inductee

Today we celebrate someone who has been apart of this organization for more than 25 years

This individual has been a driving force behind the modernization of Ohio Hot Stove Baseball. He’s led efforts to bring the organization into the digital age—revamping websites, expanding social media, and communication across platforms.

He’s a fixture in North Ridgeville, where his impact on the local baseball community is well known. During the pandemic, he created a league to keep kids playing safely - helping preserve the game when it was needed most. In recognition of his dedication, the field house at Palmer Field was recently named in his honor.

He’s already a Cy Butler Award recipient, and we recognize his continued impact.

Please join us in welcoming Pat Anderson - Lorain County President and Ohio Hot Stove State Board Member - into the Ohio Hot Stove Hall of Fame.
